Safe water for all

Safe water is essential to life. As such, Metro Dumaguete Water commits to its mission of providing safe and potable water to its customers. To support this commitment, the Metro Pacific Dumaguete Water Services, Inc. Laboratory obtained the Certificate of Authority to Operate (CATO) a Chemical Laboratory from the Professional Regulatory Board of Chemistry and the Certificate of Accreditation from the Department of Health (DOH).

With these two certifications, the Metro Dumaguete Water (MDW) Laboratory has attained the status of being the only Category C Laboratory authorized to conduct drinking water analysis in Negros Oriental in addition to its being the sole chemical testing laboratory with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Certificate of Authority to Operate (CATO) in the City.

Part of the MDW laboratory’s offering is to provide water testing services as required by the DOH and in accordance with the Philippine National Standards for Drinking Water (PNSDW). As such, the laboratory caters to businesses, such as restaurants, hotels, and water refilling stations, which are required to pass water testing.
