Metro Dumaguete Water has handed over ten (10) additional handwashing facilities to the City Health Office to support the DOH accreditation of more vaccination posts in barangay gyms in Dumaguete City.

City Administrator Atty. Doram Dumalagan and City Health Officer Dr. Sarah Talla received the handwashing facilities from MDW COO David Berba. Launched last March 22, 2021 with an initial four units, Hugas Luwas Dumaguete is a community handwashing program of MDW in partnership with the Local Government of Dumaguete. The program aims to support the fight against COVID 19, promoting proper routine handwashing and sanitation and providing further access to clean water to strategic areas around the City of Dumaguete.
