Dumaguete City Water District (DCWD) and Metro Dumaguete Water (MDW) turned over basic plumbing toolkits to the 30 barangays in Dumaguete City as part of the Kauban’g Tubero sa Barangay Program.

“Kauban’g Tubero sa Barangay” is a basic skills training program by DCWD, MDW, and TESDA to enable and capacitate barangay plumbers for the city and address the need for after-the-meter and household plumbing water service concerns. The plumbing toolkits, composed of pipe wrenches, a vise grip, a hacksaw blade, and an adjustible, are to be kept and maintained by the barangays to support the barangay plumbers who underwent the training.

During the simple turnover ceremony held at the DCWD Office, the Association of Barangay Captains accepted the donation and presented a resolution applauding the efforts of the DCWD and MDW for their continued support.
